Since pivoting my career to IT during the pandemic, I have welcomed every opportunity to make up for lost time.
What began as a journey of self discovery has morphed into a passion for building and maintaining reliable infrastructure.
Starting out as an IT Support Specialist and now as System Administrator & Site Reliability Engineer, I've developed my capabilities in automation, infrastructure as code (IaC) and system administration.
I build and optimise infrastructure, focussed on automation, scalability and reliability. Ensuring that systems are capable of meeting
not just the requirements of today, but also those of tomorrow.
I built my first PC when I was 17. Many years later, I daily drive Linux, have a homelab consisting of mini PCs running Proxmox, a NAS for backups, a Raspberry Pi for tinkering, an OPNsense router and a UniFi managed switch.
The march of progress never stops, and I enjoy trying to keep up. After picking up python in 2021, I dived into Ansible, Bash, Docker. I am currently working on my OpenTofu skills.
Should I notice that something is not just right, I just cannott help but to make it so. I often spend my time to repair items when they break or make improvments to my home, but never before a round of thorough research.
